Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own collage papers and then how to turn them into a creative work? Here's your chance! In this four-week, eight hour class, you will learn about the tools, materials, techniques, and paints to use in creating your own masterpieces. Each consecutive Thursday evening, Brenda Mason will explore different techniques for making texture and color on papers, eventually culminating in creating a collage with those papers. Each class includes a $5 fee paid to the instructor for materials.
Part I will explore the basics, including texturing with salt, wax paper, alcohol, glue, and mediums. This is a prerequisite for attending any of the other four sessions. Remaining sessions will cover something different each week. Each session is priced separately, and you may attend Part I and any of the additional sessions you desire, but you will receive the maximum benefit from attending all four sessions.
Brenda is an accomplished artist with a Master's degree in Fine Arts. This is a sample of one of her watercolor paintings. Your work will be different.
